David Benowitz: I’m David Benowitz, I’m a criminal defense attorney. The reason I do what I do, the reason I’m so passionate about being a criminal defense attorney is because when I see people who are in trouble I feel the need to help them. When people come to me they are normally at the worst point in their life and it’s my job to take them from that point and get them out of trouble. I spend every waking hour, and sometimes every sleeping hour, thinking about people’s cases and about ways to navigate this extremely harsh criminal justice system- a system that’s set up to put them in jail. In order to get through the system you need somebody who’s going to fight for you, who’s going to fight for you with passion, who’s going to stay up late at night thinking about your case, thinking about ways to help you get the best result possible.
